Hello guys Welcome to Techcrispin today in this article we are talking about Apple iPhone 14 Might Be More Demanded in China. iPhone 14 isn’t due out until September, but the excitement is already starting to build. Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of its next smartphone but the internet is awash with iPhone 14 rumours and talk of a “complete redesign”.
The new flagship iPhone 14 Pro will feature a dual cutout display for Face ID and a front camera. Altogether, we are expecting major changes this year. A new prominent analyst suggests that the demand for iPhone 14 series will be stronger in the Chinese market compared to the current iPhone 13 models.
The iPhone 14 might have more massive demand in China than iPhone 13, and Chinese distributors/retailers may face the highest prepaid depositing ever in the iPhone’s history to secure supply.
The demand for iPhone 14 series in the Chinese market could be stronger than the iPhone models from the viewpoints of distributors and retailers, according to a new post by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In a thread on Twitter, Kuo says that his latest survey “indicates that some Chinese distributors/retailers/scalpers have to pay the highest prepaid deposit ever for iPhone 14 to ensure a sufficient supply, implying the iPhone 14 demand in the Chinese market will likely be higher than expected.”
Recently, reliable sources have also leaked that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro model’s always-on display feature would also show you widgets in it from the iOS 16 lock screen widgets.
The story of fewer supplies and more demand always plays off, but we all know, in the end, it is all settled, and sometimes it is not, and the same goes for the upcoming iPhone 14.

iPhone 14 Would Have Stronger Demand Than iPhone 13
According to a new survey from supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, third-party retailers in China like distributors, retailers, and scalpers are saying that they are paying “the highest prepaid deposit ever for iPhone 14.” The surveyors said that they are paying these higher amounts in order to ensure that they have a supply of the upcoming iPhone.
Kuo goes on to say that, according to the survey, “the iPhone 14 prepaid deposit is significantly higher than the iPhone 13 and even twice as high in some areas.” This leads the analyst to believe that demand for the iPhone 14 will be higher than expected in the country.
The iPhone 13 was a global success but Apple’s sales went down by 4 percent in China year over year. Apple is expected to bring a new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max model instead of the ‘mini’. This will potentially create a strong demand in the Chinese market. Take note that the analyst shared his viewpoints with respect to distributors and retailers.
This demand might also affect consumers. Buyers also have to deposit higher prepaid to secure the iPhone 14. Also, they might have to pay even twice than the iPhone 13 in some areas as distributors & retailers.
The analyst reported that the iPhone 14 shipment forecast of component suppliers and EMS is about 100 million and 90 million units in 2H22, respectively.
This could mean that this solid demand for iPhone 14 in the Chinese market may reduce concerns about the rest of the iPhone 14 orders being cut after the launch – as happened with the third-generation iPhone SE.
Apple has been steadily gaining ground in the Chinese smartphone market. A recent report indicated that half of all mobile devices sold during the country’s 6.18 festival were Apple iPhones. Other reports indicate that Apple’s devices are taking market share from both domestic and international suppliers.
While the iPhone 14 series will come with a new model, the iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to feature major design changes. We are expecting a dual cutout display, support for an Always-On display to utilize iOS 16’s Lock Screen widgets, and much more.
As for internals, only the ‘Pro’ models are expected to come with an upgraded A16 Bionic chip while the standard variants will stick to the A15 Bionic.
iPhone 14 will be launched with many new changes & upgrades after some years, such as significant upgrades to the camera and its new notch design, which might be the main reason for its demand.
From the past rumors and reports, we all know that iPhone 14 production is facing some challenges due to the lockdown in China and might also see a delay in its launch.
